Let the waves guide you through another day

Fewer things in life can compare to the sound of waves, the velvety feel of sand under ur feet and the sun burning onto you. Its soothing and refreshing. Cleansing even.

I know my entries have gone off track for a while, I guess its partly Ramadan and partly me getting bored of the same ol thing. And partly self imposed drama.


Regardless, I will be back soon. With posts on fashion, food and fabulous fun..

Sometimes, when we least like it, we are faced with a situation that requires us to act like adults. To think before we act, to weigh before we jump, to see the full picture even if all we want to do is be in that one moment and let it be. Laissez faire. If only.


Life's irony hasn't gone unnoticed on me, but when I thought I've seen it all, done it all and lived it all.. It serves me a platter of goodies I never thought existed. Except its not the right time. Not the right place. And definitely not the right situation.

On heartache

The heart: A viscus of cardiac muscle that maintains the circulation of the blood.

I deal with patients coming in with “a pain in the heart” all the time. Angina, I understand its physiology and I get how to treat it. I find it safe in a sense that we know what causes it and how to prevent it.

But with heartache, its a different story. I'm talking about that dull feeling you get when you're emotionally fucked.. some describe it as an ache, others as heaviness centralized in the chest. Right where the heart is. Its a whole other story, because there is nothing you can do to make it go away.. it takes its time and then ends with a scar to remind you, always, not to put yourself in that position again.


No physiology there. Just idiotic love.

Your beach bod, just a drink away!

Rodial (the makers of Brazilian Tan) came up with a drink that's supposed to tone, tan and protect you from the sun all at the same time. How so? :P well those sachets contain multiple supplements in powder form, some of which are Green tea extracts which help burn calories, antioxidants to protect from free radicals and betacarotene (also found in carrots) to increase skin pigmentation and thus result in a better tan. Just dissolve them in water, and have them 2 weeks before heading to the beach et voila!
